why Should Chiranjeevi have joined politics?

With their entry, people like Chiru can change the trend of politics. The Mega Star of Tollywood has secured a place in the hearts of the people by contributing his mite in the fight against social evils like corruption and bribery, albeit through films like his latest blockbuster `Tagore.’ His off-screen activities of setting up a blood bank and mobilising people to donate their eyes have also won appreciation. Equipped with traits like kindness, generosity and benevolence, he is sure to make a good politician.

Chiranjeevi should have joined politics, as there is not an iota of doubt that Chiranjeevi will win hands down if he contests elections. Apart from being a screen God for many, the cine star also commands high respect among the general masses for his acts of benevolence. Known to be a modest and down-to-earth person, Chiru sure can tilt people’s poll verdict in his favour without much effort.

Films like Mutha Mestri, Indra and Tagore have not only worked wonders for Chiranjeevi’s film career but people have begun to idolise him off-screen too. This is not merely because of the immense screen presence being enjoyed by him on the silver screen, but the good deeds he has initiated to help the poor and down-trodden. Cashing in on his popularity, the cine star should make inroads in politics too.

When character artistes and not-so-famous cinema actors can don the khadi robes to remain in the limelight after retiring from movies, why can’t a superstar like Chiranjeevi ? He has all the qualities of becoming a successful politician — popularity, a close rapport with people at the grass-root level and above all, a kind heart which yearns to serve people. Chiranjeevi, beyond all doubts, will excel in politics and thus, should go ahead with his political aspirations.

Politics is certainly not the place for a good person like Chiranjeevi. I strongly oppose the idea of his joining politics which is full of dirt and slush. He should continue his benevolence without expecting anything in return. He would only belittle himself by making an entry into politics. I, therefore, humbly request him not to stoop down from the high pedestal he is occupying at the moment.

The present day politicians have reduced themselves into rabble-rousers. In this age of degeneration of politics, entry of someone like Chiranjeevi could be the best thing happening to the State’s political scenario. Drawing inspiration from his own hits like `Tagore’ and `Indra’, Chiranjeevi should take the plunge and commit himself to the welfare of the have-nots. A hero like him would sure do a good job of fighting corruption in the society.

Chiranjeevi should not join politics. Chiranjeevi is a legend and he is the big brother of the film industry. He should reach out to the people through his blood and eye banks. He can do a lot of good even without political power. The list of voters can never provide an alternative to the long list of fans he has. He cannot be affable as he is now, if he enters politics.

In my opinion, Chiranjeevi should join politics, because he has the ability to motivate people. After his film `Tagore’ was released, many fought against corruption in government offices. This is a good example of what he can do as a motivator. Chirajeevi is rendering service to the people by establishing an eye and blood bank. If we encourage such great personalities to enter politics Andhra Pradesh will develop rapidly.

I am a Chiranjeevi fan. I think politics is not the only way to serve people. Politics is much too complex a phenomenon. A majority of the Indian politicians have very little concern for principles and morals. Abraham Lincoln defined politicians as men who have interests that are different from the interests of the general people. Chiranjeevi should not join politics. If he joins politics, I am sure that he will become the Chief Minister and serve the people well, but most of his time will go waste trying to keep his position. He is `megastar’ in Tollywood. He has to do films for his fans that guide them to be good.

Alas! Why should a top hero like him should spend a lot (of time and money) in this dirty and unnecessary politics. There is no guarantee whether politics will take him to a higher position. He should join politics, only if he has the talent to go steadily and the calibre to maintain his post.

Yes. Chiranjeevi who has won acclaim for his social service and fanfare should enter the politics. He is service minded and he is organising a lot of social service activities like blood donation camps, eye donation etc. If he contests the elections, he will surely win. He can motivate his supporters to participate in activities for development of society. With the power and fame, he can do much more to the people.

Chiranjeevi is one of the few persons who has a conviction to serve the man-kind. Politics is just a platform to serve the people. So when the Mega-Star is serving the people of Andhra Pradesh with his blood and eye donation camps in such an efficient way, I don’t see any valid reason for Chiranjeevi to enter politics. Today’s politics are full of venom and let us not drag a person with a genuine appetite to serve humanity into that vicious circle. So I prefer that Chiranjeevi should not join politics.

It is at the election time that the political parties face acid test in order to make themselves stronger. The parties welcome renowned people with open arms to join their respective parties. In my opinion the “Megastar” should join the politics. It is already known that Chiranjeevi has an image of his own. He is capable of creating an impression in people’s minds. Many people listen to him and even lay down their lives for him. Till now, many great film artistes like NTR and Jayalalithaa came into politics and have been extremely successful. The reason is people listen to them. I whole heartedly wish that he should extend his career from Cinema to politics.

Bedides cine field, politics is the field which people are crazy about. If Chiranjeevi, who is going on with a rapid pace in the industry with his continuous hits and strengthening his place in the hearts of people, joins politics, the entire political scenario changes. In my opinion Chiranjeevi joining the politics is not wise. It is not that easy to do justice to both fields. If he joins the party opposite to which his fans are willing to vote, then it really becomes a big task for them to decide between their favourite star and the political party.

chiru is coming towords
Well, the current hot topic in our state is nothing but Chiranjeevi’s political entry. Media and fans are stressing that Chiranjeevi is going to float his own party very soon.
All political parties are already planning to face the circumstances if Chiranjeevi enters in to the politics. Megastar fans are planning a fans meet on large scale in Vijayawada on Dec 7th to discuss on Chiranjeevi’s party name, color and emblem and also they are conducting rallies in various places. On the other side college students in Kurnool are betting on Chiranjeevi political plans! Even girls are actively participating in this betting! All the political parties are welcoming Chiranjeevi’s decision to come into politics and at the same time they are waiting for the official announcement from him. As always Chiranjeevi remained tight lipped on this issue and everyone is looking forward for the day on which the silence breaks!

As the political atmosphere in Andhra Pradesh is heating up ahead of assembly elections, one and a half year away, there is fresh speculation over Telugu matinee idol Chiranjeevi’s entry into politics.
While there was no word from the superstar, sources close to him say the exercise has begun elicit views from people from various walks of life as a precursor to his foray into politics.
The actor is believed to have made up his mind to take the plunge and is likely announce his decision after Sankranti festival in January.
Chiru, as the actor is affectionately called by his fans and film industry, has been keeping the cards close to his chest about his political plans.
The leaders of powerful Kapu community, to which the star belongs, have been trying to persuade him to enter politics and end the domination of the two major castes — Kamma and Reddy — in the state.
However, Chiranjeevi who has a massive fan following across the communities, is said to be wary of being projected as a Kapu leader.
But he is expected to fill the leadership vacuum being felt among the numerically strong yet politically marginalised backward classes, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and minorities.
Of late, there have been efforts by Left parties to project Chiranjeevi, who has acted in 148 films, as a rallying point for weaker sections and leader of a possible Third Front as an alternative to the ruling Congress and main opposition TDP.
The Left parties, particularly the CPI have been in the forefront of efforts to forge a Third Front by roping in Chiranjeevi.
Media reports also suggested that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati-led BSP was keen on working with the actor.
Chirnajeevi’s fans have been rooting for his foray into politics and are confident that he can repeat the magic of late N T Rama Rao who had stormed to power within nine months of floating Telugu Desam Party and ended Congress monopoly in the state in 1983.
Though speculation about his entry into politics have been surfacing on and off for the last 15 years, the actor maintained a stoic silence.
However, in recent times he is said to be holding parleys with his aides and well-wishers in a bid to assess the political situation.
Chiranjeevi, a Padma Bhushan awardee, has been active in social work and philanthropic activity through the ‘Chiranjeevi Blood Bank’ and ‘Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust’ he floated couple of years ago.
The reports of his possible political plunge evoked enthusiastic response from his fans who organised rallies across the state and burst into celebrations in anticipation of their leader donning the political mantle.
The major political parties reacted guardedly to the fresh buzz about Chiranjeevi’s political entry.
While Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said he would welcome any one joining politics and “more so” Chiranjeevi, the TDP leaders said they would rather wait for the actor to announce his decision.
